Hebe ‘Lewisii’
Hebe ‘Lewisii’ is an erect, evergreen, bushy shrub, which grows to 60 in (1.5 m) or more. The glossy green leaves are broad spear-shaped, up to 2.5 in (6.5 cm) long and 0.75–1 in (2–2.5 cm) wide. Flowers lilac, fading white, summer and autumn. This hebe is fairly hardy in the UK. Hebe ‘Lewisii’ is a naturally occurring hybrid between Hebe elliptica and Hebe salicifolia. It was discovered by J B Armstrong growing near Timaru, South Island, New Zealand. |
