Hebe venustula ‘Hikurangi’
Hebe venustula ‘Hikurangi’ forms a neat, rounded, evergreen bush up to 40 in (1 m) tall. The glossy green leaves, are up to 0.7 in (17 mm) long. The flower are white, or lilac fading to white, summer. A hebe hardy in the UK. The form of Hebe venustula has larger leaves and flowers with 5 petals, and was collected on Mount Hikurangi, near East Cape, North Island, New Zealand. This mountain is where the dawn’s rays first touch New Zealand. |
