Aciphylla monroi

Aciphylla monroi is a distinctive, close-set, tuft forming herbaceous plant. The yellow-green leaves have leaflets in 2 to 8 pairs. The flowering stem is 6–8 in (15–20 cm) long, flowers creamy; summer. Aciphylla monroi is found in rocky outcrops and open snow-tussock grassland, in low alpine to high alpine areas to the east of the Southern Alpines, Nelson and Marlborough to mid-Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand. |
