Celmisia bonplandii
Celmisia bonplandii is a low-growing woody plant, which forms patches up to 20 in (50 cm) across. The broad lance-shaped leaves are 2–4 in (5–10 cm) long, and are green above, white below. Large daisy flowers are carried on stalks 6–12 in (15–30 cm) tall; summer. Celmisia bonplandii is found in rocky areas in subalpine to high alpine areas of the south of South Island, New Zealand. It was named after Mount Bonpland, in the Humboldt Mountains near Queenstown, where it was first collected. |
