Brachyglottis ×spedenii

Brachyglottis × spedenii (syn Senecio spedenii) is a small, compact, evergreen shrub that grows to 18 in (45 cm) high. The broad, spear-shaped leaves are 0.4–0.6 in (1–1.5–cm) long, green above, white below, with a pale edge. Small daisy flowers in summer. Brachyglottis × spedenii was collected in 1922 by Jas Speden at the Richardson Mountains, near Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand. It is now known to be a naturally occurring hybrid of Brachyglottis cassinioides and Brachyglottis revoluta. |
