Gentiana amabilis
Gentiana amabilis is a dwarf herbaceous plant, which grows to 1.6–2 in (4–5 cm) high. The green spoon-shaped leaves are 0.6 in (1.5 cm) long, with the leaf stalks about the same in length. The single white flowers are 0.75 in (1.8 cm) across; summer. Gentiana amabilis is found in bogs in the mountains of Otago and Southland, South Island, New Zealand. It is regarded as a dwarf moisture-loving form of Gentiana bellidifolia. |
