Knightia excelsa is an upright tree, which can grow to 100 ft (30 m).
The leaves have serrated edges and are up to 8 in (20 cm) long.
The small red flowers crowd together to form a bottlebrush-like inflorescence. |

Kunzea ericoides (syn Leptospermum ericoides) is a large, evergreen shrub or small tree
up to 50 ft (15 m) high.
The leaves are small, pointed, and aromatic. The flowers are small, white,
and 5 petalled. In flower mature specimens are covered in a mass of white
blossom, although immature plants can flower less well. Fairly hardy in
the UK. |
