Hebe gibbsii

Hebe gibbsii is a low-growing, evergreen, bushy shrub, which reaches about 8 in (20 cm) high. The thick, greyish leaves are broadly spear shaped, about 0.6 in (1.5 cm) long, the edges are green, or red, and hairy. The flowers are white; summer. A hebe hardy in the UK. Found in the Richmond Range, to the north of the Wairau Valley, in the north-east of South Island, New Zealand. Its conservation status is classified as ‘Range Restricted’. It is closely related to Hebe allanii and Hebe amplexicaulis. |
